Let the good times roll!! Make no mistake about it these are exciting times for the ADA and our sport of darts. As we close the door on 2003 we can reflect back on several major developments that has secured the ADA as the leader in our industry.
First and foremost is the ADA web site. Paul Seigel, better known as Dartoid, rated the ADA web site as one of the top ten web sites in the world! It’s a nice compliment and one I believe that is deserved. The site is updated twice daily providing you, the member, up to date information on your team and other important developments both inside and outside of the ADA. No other national darts club offers this type of service.
Next, our relationship with the Professional Darts Corporation is a giant step forward for the ADA and our sport here state side. For the first time in the history of our organization a member will be competing in a world-class international competition. This dramatically broadens the international scope of the ADA. We’ve waited a long time for this opportunity and we look forward to a long and healthy relationship with the PDC!
Thanks to our tireless efforts, two Fortune 500 companies (Anheuser-Busch & Coca-Cola) returned to sponsor our organization. Their sponsorship sends a very positive message to the recreational market that darts is, indeed, a sport and the ADA is the organization to invest in.
We could not have picked a better time to develop a league program for the military. The ADA has developed the “Dart Leagues in the Military” program for our service men and women worldwide. Investments in e-commerce provide them the method to enroll in this program regardless of where they are deployed. We look forward to additional corporate sponsorship to enhance this important program.
As we set our sights for 2004 it is also time to renew your membership. To meet the challenges of the future and to effectively compete in the recreational market place you will note the first increase in the history of the ADA. The five-dollar increase not only helps cover the cost of doing business but also provides capital to invest in new programs. We’d like to think a nickel a day is well worth the investment!
In closing, the future of the ADA looks bright indeed as we set our sights to 2004. Bringing the best benefits our sport has to offer to ADA members is our number one priority. We look forward to your continued support!
To renew your membership contact your ADA Representative or simply print out the Membership Application located on our Membership information page here online.
