World’s Only Blend Of Steel-tip And Soft-tip Events Boasts Over $100,000 Purse!
The American Darters Association is gearing up for our most exciting season ever four regional championships, plus our huge national championship, a professional elimination format, and a hefty prize purse that exceeds six figures!
Competition kicked off with the Mid-America Regional Championship in St. Louis, MO (Feb. 6-8); and continues with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship in Hampton Roads, VA (March, 6-8); the Southwest Regional Championship (location & exact dates TBA); and the Midwest Regional Championship in Kansas City, MO (November, 12-14).
This year’s regionals begin each Friday afternoon with an exciting new addition: Cricket singles! Cricket singles matches will be featured in a format familiar with other professional sports like bowling and tennis: single elimination best of three, best of three sets.
ADA Regional Championships are stand alone events, not qualifiers.
Our fifth event in the 2004 Championship Series is our $75,000 National Championships at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV (July 22-25). It’s open ONLY to American Dart League members who qualify through weekly league play. This event determines who are the best league members in the ADA! ADA’s Championship Series claims a unique distinction: it is the only dart contest series in the world that features 100% coin-operated play on electronic dart machines….both for soft-tip and steel-tip.
The ADA National Championship is also the only dart championship in the USA that seeds competitors in Singles competition. The top 16 men and top 8 women from four divisions in the steel-tip and soft-tip categories from the American Dart League are rated according to the cumulative scores for every dart thrown in league play, all year long. That’s a total of 96 seeded players who enter with a guaranteed share of the prize purse. Seeded players also receive commemorative plaques and public recognition on stage at the National Championship.
In the National Championship Singles finals, these 96 prestigious winners will compete against the top qualifiers as determined by the early rounds of the National Championship! It’s a spectacular show with money on the line in virtually every shot.
Between rounds, seeded players in the National Championships enjoy their own Skybox Lounge with a commanding view of the competition floor and complimentary food and beverages from our sponsors including Coca-Cola and Michelob AmberBock!
