Make no mistake, seniors love to play darts! The American Darters Association is proud to manage the darts competition for the Missouri Senior Games. The latest was held during the Franklin County Silver Games. Rural Franklin County is located southwest of St. Louis and the participants love the darts competition. Over forty players registered and the event was held at the Sullivan Community Center in Sullivan, MO.
To qualify adults must be at least 55 years old. There are men’s and women’s categories and they are separated in five-year age groups. The game is "High Score/Count Up" with Gold, Silver & Bronze medals awarded to the highest score in fifteen darts thrown. Medal winners also qualify for the Missouri State Senior Olympics. Competition took place on two Arachnid Galaxy dart machines provided by Playmor Amusements.
The Community Center provided a great setting for this darting event. With four competitors per dart machine and only one game to go for the gold, competition was fierce!
