It’s that time of year. As our northern hemisphere produces cooler temperatures (we call it winter) the majority of our population is driven indoors. Many of these Americans are playing darts and, more importantly, enrolling into the ADA. The following is a report on new American Dart League market areas:
Tulsa, OK
Twelve teams kicked off American Dart League (ADL) play in Tulsa. ADA League Manager, Rebecca Willitt continues to do a great job developing this market. Two Open divisions in four taverns have started and Rebecca reports, “We’ve got some great darters here in Tulsa. These 12 teams are just the tip of the iceberg!”
Oklahoma City, OK ADA League Manager, Brad Geist begins American Dart League play in OKC with his first Orientation Meeting held at the Sooner Corral January 7th. “We’re anxious to get started and our OKC darters look forward to joining the American Dart League.” A special thanks to Brian Pistocco, owner of The Dart Shop, for his cooperation in getting us started in Oklahoma City.
Uvalde & San Antonio, TX League Manager, Louis Neira just wrapped up his first division in Uvalde (located west of San Antonio). He now sets his sights on the huge San Antonio market. There are some great darters in his area and we look forward to adding them to the “Top Darter” list.
Minnesota & Iowa ADA League Manager, Scott Quam continues to do a great job developing the American Dart League in this two state area. Southwest Minnesota and northeast Iowa has a ton of darters and Scott continues to do a great job recruiting darters who have signed up for league play this month.
New York City, NY Anthony Eugenia came has just come on board as our League Manager for our nation’s largest city. He is our only League Manager to have a television production company come to an Orientation Meeting! We look forward to Anthony starting our first division in the Big Apple soon.
Ellsworth, ME Ellsworth is located in southeast Maine and League Manager Chuck Grindle started his first division in December. He looks forward to adding a Bangor division this month.
Kennewick-Pasco-Richland
This tri-city area is located in southeast Washington. John Prescott is our League Manager and with assistance from Division Manager, Erik McVay American Dart League play begins later this month.
Fayetteville, NC League Manager Jeff Adam has 7 teams signed up with an Orientation Meeting schedule for January 26th. ADL league play begins the following week. Fayetteville is located in southeast North Carolina. Jeff predicts expansion into neighboring Raleigh next month.
Phoenix, AZ Phoenix, the “Valley of the Sun”, joined the American Dart League last month. This is a huge area for darts and ADA League Manager, Marty Scarborough looks forward to expanding into multiple divisions when his second session begins next month.
Allentown, PA We welcome the eastern PA city of Allentown into the ADL. ADA League Manager Tom DiGregorio started an “in-house” division in Rounders @ Rileys last month. We look forward to adding additional Allentown taverns next month.
Needless to say these are busy times here in the land of the ADA. In addition the following areas are “under construction” and we look forward to adding them to the American Dart League soon: Albuquerque, NM, Lawrence, MA, Springfield, MO, Junction City, KS, Athens, OH, Lockport, OH, Lawton, OK, Fairfax, VA & Lansing, MI.
