The American Dart League is proud to add northern New Jersey to our growing
list of new market areas. ADA League Manager, Jeff Williams continues to do
a great job adding new members & new taverns to this area.
Eight teams kicked off the first summer session playing a steel tip Express
Open format in two host locations (Firewater's & Harley's Irish Pub). The
top four teams advanced to the playoffs. In the finals Team 7 (Capt Jeff
Williams, Jeff Ludwig, and Mike Pyle) played against Team 3 (Capt Mark
Livolsi, Joe Ziaya, and Scott Mackenzie).
Team 7 opened up winning the first two matches. Things were looking good
until Team 3 came back winning the next 4 to make the score 4 to 2. After
team 7 taking the 7th game they had a chance to tie it up, but with the Hat
Trick (3 Single Bulls) in the last game on the first score sheet from Scott
Mackenzie on team 3 the score was 5 to 3 with Team 3 in the lead. Moving
onto the second scoresheet Team 7 came back with the next two matches to tie
it up 5 to 5. What a match. Team 3 had enough and took the next two games to
once again take a 2 game lead on team 7. Going into the second match of
triples cricket (game 5) Team 7 came back and threw the darts that they knew
they can throw which gave Team 7 the push to take the next three games
straight to end the match with a 9-7 victory over Team 3.
Congratulation to Team 7 (Capt Jeff Williams, Jeff Ludwig, and Mike Pyle)
for winning the championship in the Wednesday Night NJ Express League and to
the runner ups - 2nd Place Team 3 (Capt Mark Livolsi, Joe Ziaya, and Scott
Mackenzie) for their challenging darts and making the finals match as
competitive as it could be.
