The quest to bring marks per round (mpr) to the American Dart League continues & we need your assistance! In our last article I outlined that Team and Express League score sheets have been revised and now include areas for individual mpr & total round statistics.
Captains; effective immediately please begin tracking the following cricket stats on weekly score sheet matches:
- Marks per round
- Rounds
Tracking individual mpr’s is limited to electronic dart machines with the ability to do so. We contacted the machine manufacturer’s who provided us the following machines that calculate mpr’s for 4-players on two scores:
Valley/Shelti
Cougar models:
- Eye II
- Cougar 8
- Cougar HB
- SM HB
- SM Ernie
Arachnid
- Galaxy I
- Galaxy II
- Black Widow
Medalist
- Spectrum Genesis
- Spectrum Omni/Genesis
- Spectrum Genesis/Elite
- Spectrum Avanti/Elite
Merit
- DX
For each machine above simply seek out and follow the cricket 4-player instructions for mpr stats for two scores at the conclusion of each game.
For those soft tippers who do not have the above machines in your market begin listing the number of rounds after each cricket game (doubles & triples). Every electronic dart machine has this feature. It is displayed immediately at the conclusion of each game.
For steel tippers track then list the total number of rounds after each game. To track rounds during the game simply list a single mark on the score board after the final member has thrown in that round (the 4th member in doubles & the 6th member in triples). At the conclusion of the game simply list the total rounds on the ADA score sheet.
This will be temporary as the ADA is working with a manufacturer who is customizing an existing electronic scorer that will include the ability to separate doubles MPR & will also include the ADA Neutralizer formula. This unit will be tested soon and will be ready for ADL use sometime next year.
Continue to check the ADA web site for marks per round updates. We thank you for your patience & co-operation as we move forward with this process. If you have any questions or comments please contact your ADA Representative.
