The team has qualified & the stage is set for our annual England vs ADA
Telephone Darts Challenge. The match takes place this Sunday (April 15th)
at 1 PM CDST. Location is The Dubliner Irish Pub (the Irish vs the
English?!) in downtown St. Louis. On the other side of the pond in
Northampton, the Princess Alexandra Pub will play host.
ADA President, Glenn Remick started this international contest back in 1982
and adds, "Since our 7-4 loss last year in Daytona, Florida we've looked
forward to this re-match. We've have another good team this year, members
qualified from Illinois, the St. Louis area & KC. We're ready!"
Sponsored by Budweiser, the ten person team will play a mixture of 601
Triples, 501 Doubles & 501 Singles. The spacious Dubliner installed large
speakers so participants and spectators can actually hear every dart "thumping" into the dartboard from England! Glenn & his counterpart
Captain, Horace Handley will open the competition by throwing a 12 dart "high score" match against each other. In addition to being the match
emcee, Horace is a local celebrity holding the title as the city of
Northampton Town's Crier! The winner of the high score match will determine
the "home team" advantage.
In an arrangement with Eagle Teleconferencing darts enthusiasts can witness
this international match via teleconference. Simply dial 712-338-8900 then

to enjoy the action!
