After a year of research and development the ADA released a new version of DARTERS, our customized software system. It was released Friday the 13th at 7:00 PM EST.
Make no mistake about it, this is a huge project! I’m pleased to report the “launch” was a success but not without problems. The ADA out sourced this project (I know enough about computers to be dangerous!). Since the release on Friday I observed our techs bringing this new program to life simply as a “side line” consultant.
I remain amazed at the process. Over the past year it took hundreds of man hours converting thousands of lines code to install this “new” Windows based program. So as our network of Franchisees (ADA Reps) begin importing weekly American Dart League data into this new system we will certainly encounter additional problems. So please bear with us during this tedious process.
On a related note, during this conversion we made changes that will effect members’ points per dart average. The most notable pertains to points per dart averages. All member averages are calculated based on your last 10 scores (we refer to it as a “rolling ten” average). For you members who play in multiple divisions you now have one points per dart average. This average is determined by your scores from multiple divisions.
There are other changes & we will continue to keep you informed as we go through the “tweaking” process. Between now and then we thank you in advance for your patience.
