With fall season here and the summer months gone the Budweiser Pro Tour simply continues to roll along. As we wrap up the year we’ve added another new area, Delaware. The program is identical no matter where you play; action takes place on the last Wednesday of every month with the winning teams playing off at 10 pm for the two grand prizes. Once entered (no entry fee) the double teams are drawn at random and the game is 501 straight start, double out. Both soft tip & steel tip are played (some in the same location). Based on sponsorship by the local Anheuser-Busch wholesaler there are prizes for every member and non-member who enter. Additional prizes are provided throughout the evening. Here is a report on the October action:
Budweiser Pro Tour
By Delaware Franchise Owner, Steve Allen
Pros: Bill Cross, Sr. (23) and Bo Gland (21)
Location: Papa Rays, Newark
We’re glad to be the newest addition to the Bud Pro Tour. It was a great night of soft tip darts as our two Pros are Bill Cross, Sr (23) and his partner Bo Gland (21) played well. They won 13 games winning 8, losing 5. Our sponsor was Anheuser-Busch wholesaler N-K-S who provided the participants with key chains, hats and t-shirts. Papa Rays (owner Mike Petruziello) put on a great night for the “show”. In the end ADA members Joe Pak and Tom Stewart won the playoff for the grand prizes. Truly a great night for our sport and we now look forward to the Bud Pro Tour in November.
Budweiser Pro Tour
By Virginia Franchise Owner, Rob Coleman
Pros: Bill Cross, Jr. (29) and Jean Purgold (21)
Location: Lil’s Restaurant, Newport News
This was our second Bud Pro Tour and it was a great night at Lil’s. Our Soft Tip Pros Bill Cross and Jean Purgold play 25 games winning 20. Bill tossed five 180’s! Anheuser-Busch wholesaler, M. Price Dist tossed in some great prizes for the players and guests. The 236 ADA Pro’s went undefeated for the night! Who can beat them at the next Pro Challenge in Virginia?

Budweiser Pro Tour
By ADA General Manager, Karl Remick
Pros: Paul Schaeffler (25) and Deb Kornmann (15)
Location: Hot Shots, O’Fallon, MO
The Budweiser Pro Tour is always a great night of darts. This brings out the best players as well as a large group that just want to play some good darts. Hot Shots is a great location for darts and GM Jeff did a great job for the darters. Krey Dist, the AB wholesaler, provided prizes for this match. Paul and Deb played 15 matches winning 12, losing 3. Drew Tusting and Aaron St. John won the grand prizes. At the end of the evening as we were all departing they were asking where next month’s Pro Shoot was going to be, so hopefully we’ll see them all again in November!

Budweiser Pro Tour
By Louisiana Franchise Owners, Larry & Stella Bordlee
Pros: Chris Dove (19) and Mal Nolasco (13)
Location: Treasure Isle Tavern, New Orleans

Treasure Isle Tavern is a very nice location for darts. When hurricane Katrina hit is took off the hold second story of the building and the bottom floor had 4 feet of water. It took tavern owner Darek Ritte eight months to get his business back started. This fall was the first time league darts returned and the Bud Pro Tour was a very welcomed sight by the participants. Darek stated he would get five teams to play in the American Dart League along with one other location in that area that is suitable for darts. We look forward to start a new division with in the next few weeks.
Pros Chris Dove and Mal Nolasco played 7 matches with Darek Rittle and Kenny McDonald winning the grand prizes. AB Wholesaler Southern Eagle provided some great prizes for the players and guests. Darek complimented by serving hot smoked sausage, hot dogs and chili.

Budweiser Pro Tour
By Colorado Franchise Owners, Rob & Codi Nelson
Pros: Soft Tip Thad Fraedrich (25) and Cody Vasquez (22)
Steel Tip Bob Wedhe (19) and Sally Thorson (12)
Location: JM Post, Johnston CO
It was a very good night of darts at the Post. We had 40 people either shooting darts or watching. Each set of Pros shot 8 matches. Each set of the Pros lost 1 match. We had 16 individuals sign up for the soft and steel challenge and had random drawings throughout the evening, which included, Bud hats, shirts. All participants received a Budweiser key chain for signing up. The “sampling opportunity”, was the new Budweiser American Ale. We did have 2 soft tip games where challengers Stewart Erickson and Todd Alarid shot 180’s. Grand prize soft tip winners were Rex Best and Todd Alarid. Steel Tip winners were Chuck Nelson and Charles Alvarez.
The host location is a joint American Legion/VFW Post. Steve Kroh was the Bar Manager and attended the Bud Pro Tour.
