Just down the street from the American Darters Association’s home base is the town of Moberly. Moberly Missouri, along with Macon, Madison and Mexico has some of the friendliest “family” ADA Members. Everyone knows everyone!
And with any family function, it starts with the parents, Mel and Virginia Vilt. Mel and Virginia have put in countless hours to the American Dart League of Mid Missouri. Their efforts and time started the ground work for hundreds of ADA Members, Special Dart events and Regional & National Champions every year since they first took over the area.
But as they know being parents themselves, the kids grow up and they have to move on to bigger and better things. With that, the “parents” have turned over their business and values to their “kids”, long time ADA members Steve and Tisha Arrington.
Steve and Tisha both have many years under their belts with the ADA starting in 2004 and have even gotten in with the ADA Youth Dart Program. They took the reins from the Vilts earlier this year.
”Steve and Tisha are a good fit for our ADA Family, they know the program and have great heads on their shoulders”, says ADA President Glenn Remick. He concludes ”Mel and Virginia were fantastic and no matter what you needed, whether it be, on the local level, the staff at Regionals or Mel “the sheriff”, they would be there for you first hand, and more importantly will be missed”.
Keep up the good work Steve and Tisha! See you and your “ADA Family” at Nationals this year in St. Louis!
