The American Darters Association (ADA) is moving right along this Summer with new locations and new league managers. On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009, the ADA is back in New York! ADA League Managers, Tom Durbin & Joe Cantone, hosted the ADL Orientation Meeting and Tournament, at Bullshots Tavern, 8121 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11209. The event was sponsored by Budweiser.
Registration began at 7pm and due to inclement weather, lasted until 8:30. Of the 30-some people in attendance, 18 of them entered the tournament to compete. Budweiser prizes were randomly awarded to participants. The Orientation Meeting outlined the rules and regulations of American Dart League and a singles tournament followed the meeting.
Cash prizes were awarded to the winners:
1st Andrew Vankoeverden
2ndJacob Smith
3rd John Smertiuk
4th Anthony Coca
They also won Budweiser premium prizes and the custom set of Budweiser darts was awarded to Pat Sheenan.
The Summer session starts on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, and teams are being registered.
