Our beloved, Glenn Wellington Remick, 58, of 4 Tahoma Drive, Foristell MO died Monday
November 2nd, 2009 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
He was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on January 21st, 1951, the son of Glenn and Shirley Remick.
He attended St. Johnsbury Academy and graduated from Greenfield, MA High School in 1969.
He also attended Greenfield Community College, Dale Carnegie courses, Welding
apprenticeship, and attended a variety of Marketing and Sales courses.
Besides his wife of 34 years, the former Gloria J. Deneault; two sons and a daughter, Karl C. of
St. Charles; Sarah J. and her husband Ronnie Coyne of Clarksville, TN; Mark T. of Foristell; he
leaves his dad, Glenn of Greenfield; a sister, Glennise Remick of Greenfield MA; brother Erik
Remick and his wife Lisa of Hau’ula, HI; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, grand
nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Shirley in 2002, a sister, Gayle Remick, in 1994 and a brother, Gary Remick in 2008.
Glenn worked as the President of the American Darters Association for the past 19 years. Not
only was he the President, he was the co-founder and CEO. He was a professional darter who
was inducted into the Darts Hall of Fame in 2002.
In addition to the American Darters Association, Glenn, his wife Gloria and with the help of friends and family formed the Western Massachusetts Dart Association (WMDA) in 1977, 301 Darts &
Hobbies and the New England Dart Tournament Organization (NEDTO). Glenn was involved in
two state side organizations; American Darts Organization (ADO) and National Darts Association
(NDA). He was also involved in international events; Captain of the World Cup Dart Team (1985)
and Darts Across the Atlantic since 1982.
He had a strong passion for his family, the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and watching
the “damn Yankees” lose. Glenn enjoyed keeping busy with many of his hobbies that include
but are not limited to; darts, brewing beer, traveling, taking pictures, motorcycle and bike rides,
running and spending time with his “little family”.
Glenn was an organ donor, and being the visionary that he was, he will continue to help the
lives of many.
A celebration of his life will be held at Stefaninas in Wentzville MO on Tuesday November 10th
2009 from 11:30 – 7.
