New Bar New County New League!
By Mike Smith, ADA Representative

Troy, MO. - It was a full house at Mustang Sally’s Thursday January 14th.  Mustang Sally’s is a bar located at 440 Main St. in Troy MO.  Thursday was the start of the very first American Dart League in Lincoln County.  We started the night off with an Orientation Meeting/Blind Draw doubles tournament.  Sponsored by Krey Dist and Budweiser, the night couldn’t have gone any better!  Each attendee received a gift with the Budweiser logo on it.

I stopped by Mustang Sally’s about a month ago and asked Melanie (on of the best bartenders around I might add) if there would be an interest in a dart league.  She said she knew a couple of people who would like to throw in league.  Thanks to her for getting the word out, we had a big turn out for the event.  Nearly twenty people showed up Thursday night to see what the ADA was all about. Thanks to Melanie we have almost six teams ready to go for the start of the league Thursday the 21st.

During the tournament we raffled off prizes for the darters who came out to throw.  In addition to the regular raffle when you signed up, anyone who bought an AB product got another raffle ticket to further there chance of winning something.  Prizes ranged from coosie cups to Budweiser t-shirts to a free beer here and there.  All the winners were appreciative; I mean who doesn’t like free stuff!

Of the nine teams that played it all boiled down to whoever was in the “Kings seat” beating the winners from the other bracket once again.  The competitors were Rob and Jason of the winner’s bracket against Ryan and Josh of the loser’s bracket. It was a good match between the two teams but Ryan and Josh came out victorious in the end.  There was good sportsmanship across the board.  Everyone had a great time!

“I’m just so glad we had such a great turn out. Usually the first league is the hardest to get going, but Mustang Sally’s in Troy made it easy” said ADA Rep Tiffany Paschedag.

We just want to say thanks again to everyone who came out.  And a special thanks to Melanie for putting the word out and Sally for making us feel so welcome in her bar.  We appreciate it very much and look forward to next week and getting to know everyone.
