St. Louis MO – Blueberry Hill was this year’s location for the darting portion of the Senior Olympics in St. Louis, MO. Now granted, they are the location every year but this year was a little different. This year was the Glenn Remick Senior Dart Event. ADA founder and darts hall of famer Glenn Remick was the one who ran the event before and did such a great job they named the event after him. And what an event it is!
This year ADA rep Tiffany Paschedag and I were the ones who got to run it. At first not many people were coming. Slowly but surely they came trickling in. Before we knew it there were about 50 Senior Olympians ready to throw some darts. With the help of the patient Patrick Fox we got them signed up and the games began. Two by two the seniors took to the lines to shoot for the gold. It was really neat to see men and women still throwing steel after all the years.
The way the event went was each darter got to throw 21 total darts and their scores were recorded and were ranked in their age and gender groups. Everybody was having a good time at the event including Tiffany and myself. Everyone was great and treated us very nicely. Here at the ADA we would like to thank everyone involved in getting the event going. Special thanks to Martha Borges at the Jewish Community Center, Patrick Fox for helping Tiff and I out at the event, and Blueberry Hill for always letting us hold the event in your establishment, we couldn’t have done it without you. We look forward to doing this event for many years to come.
