It’s not just our ADA members who have something to look forward to this year at the 2011 National Championship in Las Vegas…our ADA Representatives have the Managers Convention that is designed just for them! The convention will be the Monday and Tuesday after the championship has concluded. Every year the ADA has a two – three day convention the week after the National Championship that is specific for the ADA managers. There is a new theme each year, new ideas are shared, and an overview of the upcoming events and a look at the previous year is discussed. Throughout the year the managers participate in conference calls with the home office but these management conventions provide an additional opportunity for our managers to share what’s going on in their area and share with other representatives what works for them in their area.
This year, the ADA is doing something new. These two days the managers from all areas of the United States will participate in breakout sessions. New managers will be paired up with more experienced managers and work together on sharing ideas of how to promote their area more effectively. They will also receive updates about the new Doubles format that started this past year and get an update on future ADA leagues and promotional tools.
Another feature that is specific to the ADA is recognizing a manager who has shown exceptional service the past year. One manager will be named as the ADA Manager of the Year. They will be announced at the end of this convention and will be awarded a plaque and special gift. The manager who receives this very prestigious award has provided outstanding service to the ADA and who has improved the image and value of this organization.
