Every year, since 1980, companies throughout the Kansas City area participate in the Kansas City Corporate Challenge. This is an Olympic-type event that allows businesses to interact with each other through a variety of sporting events. Their mission to promote health, wellness, and camaraderie by presenting participants with physical endeavors designed to challenge their bodies and minds through the spirit of corporate competition.

The Kansas City Corporate Challenge (KCCC) offers over 25 events for companies to choose from including darts. The KCCC is held in May or June every year and proceeds of these events went to Special Olympics Kansas City Metro. This year, participants had 8 different days to play in the dart tournament at the Side Pockets location off Englewood Rd in Kansas City MO. One woman and one man from each company were allowed to play in the soft tip double elimination dart tournament. It was an individual competition for amateur players scored by division that followed the American Darters Association (ADA) rules. Winners of the event were awarded medals to the overall top three finishers.
Clay County Missouri ADA Representative, Shari Coleman volunteered her time as the onsite ADA representative for the dart events. She was available to the participants to answer any questions, set up the games/boards for the tournaments and oversees the participants who competed during this event. The American Darters Association has both steel and soft tip dart leagues nationwide. If you are interested in playing in the Clay County Missouri area please contact Shari at scoleman@adadarters.com Leagues are now forming!
