WOW! ADA team captains had a lot to be thankful this year when they picked up their Captains welcome bag at the 2011 National Championship. With it being our 20th year anniversary, many companies wanted to participate in the event by including a variety of items. This year was a huge success and we thank all of our sponsors for their time, commitment and goodies!!
ADA National Championships brings together members from all over the nation to play in different dart events throughout the weekend. At the beginning of the championship, team captains must check in their preregistered teams and attend the captains meeting. During check in they are provided with the ADA program that provides important information about the events, location, attending teams, sponsors and what’s to be expected during their stay.
This year, members were given dice, a deck of playing cards and Starbucks coupons from our host, the Palace Station hotel and casino. Shelti, a long time sponsor of the ADA provided a toe line, pen and the very popular cozies. Dinn Brothers gave ADA team captain pins and pens in each bag. The coupons from Brand steakhouse & lounge, Diablo’s Cantina at Monte Carlo, Skyzone, Bulls-eye magazine, Palace Station and the car rental discount provided by Budget.
In addition to this year’s goodie bags there were many others that participated in our 2011 National Championship that we would like to thank. A-Z dart shop for attending and providing our members with an enormous supply of dart products and Bottelsen for the dart giveaways used in the Budweiser Mini events. Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts provided a giveaway to one lucky member this year. Congrats to Heather Thomas our ADA member who won the complimentary one room two night giveaway!
Once again, Larry Strader from Slick Graphics did an amazing job designing the shirts this year and with the services of Laramie Screen Printing they were available for purchase to our members. In addition to the t-shirts, a new item for sale this year was shot glasses designed by one of our ADA members, Cyndi Johnson.
Thanks to Marcki Murdock from Bull’s-eye magazine for setting up a table in registration/payout this year and providing our members with information on BEN. Also in attendance this year was Card Parlour darts! Members had a great time competing for the best poker hand which also gave them a chance to win prizes and bragging rights. What better place to play Card Parlour Darts than in Vegas at the ADA National Championship? It brings the two popular games of darts and poker together for an easy fun game to play on the side of the existing ADA events.
Thanks to Jeff Bradach and his staff from Nevada Beverage Company for supplying the signs that surrounded the Shelti Radikal Electronic Soft Tip machines and Sportscraft Unicorn steel tip dart boards throughout the Championship hall. This year Fox 5 Vegas filmed portions of the Championship and interviewed ADA Vice President, Karl Remick. Thanks to them for all the new local members from the Vegas area who attended after seeing our event on the news!
We were honored that Nellis Air Force presented the colors and Michael Elliot performed the National Anthem during our opening ceremonies. Huge thanks to all the staff at Palace Station and all of our members who attended the Championship. Without them we would not have been able to have such a successful event this year.
In addition to the National Championships, ADA Team captains are rewarded and valued throughout the year.
