Saturday January 7th 2012, North County St. Louis had an orientation / welcome to the ADA tournament at Classics in Hazelwood MO. This was my first tournament as an ADA league manager and I was quite impressed with the turnout!
This tournament was designed for new members to introduce them to the American Dart League and the American Darters Association. Information was provided for attendees and sign-up information for the upcoming ADA Spring league. In addition to the several great darters in attendance we also had several ADA members show up just to support me as the new ADA Rep for North County.
Participants had the opportunity to win bragging rights in the tournament and the chance to win door prizes throughout the day by just being in attendance. A total of eight teams entered into the blind draw double elimination tournament and everyone had a great time! Congrats to Karl Remick and Matt Blattel for taking first place, and Mark Arnold and Ken Zweifel for taking second place.
I look forward to having many more of these tournaments all around the North County area. I plan on having them at different locations at least once every other month in locations that have teams in the leagues. These events will be featured on the ADA homepage in the Upcoming events box and in ‘630’ Newsflash found in the Schedule and Standings links.
