 History was made in our sport of darts at the Mid America Regional Championship held on the banks of the "mighty Mississippi River". Over 300 members and guests from 7 states attended making this event the largest Regional ever!
Over looking the famous Arch in St. Louis, the Crown Hotel and Casino Queen played host to the ADA's first Championship of 2002. Sponsored by Budweiser and Dart World this event brought together former National and Regional Champions producing spectacular matches over the entire weekend.
Combining soft and steel tip darts to our Championship Series is not new, the ADA pioneered this process a  decade ago. However a Series event with both steel and soft tip coin operated electronically scored dart machines is a first! Thanks to the new ADA steel tip Vortex machine scores were registered instantly by a patented electronic scoring system. Members can look forward to these machines at the remaining Championship Series events for 2002.
Soft tip action took place on the Valley Cougar 8 machines, the official soft tip of the Championship Series.
