President’s Report...
ADA Sponsorships

Sponsorship continues to play an important role in the ADA.

From day one Anheuser-Busch (AB) has provided the ADA their assistance and support.  Last year Budweiser sponsored two of our largest programs. The inaugural “Dart Leagues in the Military” brought organized league play to our military men, women and authorized civilians worldwide. The ADA National Championship Series offered over $100,000 in prize money to American Dart League members last year. I’m pleased to report AB will return to sponsor both programs for 2003.  We welcome AmberBock as the new Championship Series sponsor.

Coca-Cola, the world’s largest soft drink company, came on board last year sponsoring portions of our military program and the National Championship.  This is the first non-tobacco, non-alcohol Fortune 500 Company to sponsor our sport of darts!  They have renewed their commitment and will return this year.

Dart World, the leading darts distributor in the country, joined forces with us last year to become the official dart company of the ADA.   With this agreement came the “Dart World Member of the Week.” This promotion continues to be our most popular program. Each week Dart World rewards the top four performing American Dart League with a set of tungsten darts, customized Dart World Member of the Week shirt, Bull’s-Eye News and ADA flights.

Dinn Brothers Trophy Company came on board as our official trophy company last year.  In addition to supporting our network of franchisees nationwide Dinn Bros. headquartered in Holyoke, Massachusetts provides awards for our National Championship Series.

We welcome Wyoming based Laramie Screen Printing (LSP) as our official apparel company.  No stranger to tavern sports, LSP can be found at the largest darts tournaments and we look forward to them providing a complete line of ADA apparel for 2003.

On the equipment side, Valley continues their run as the official soft tip dart machine of the Championship Series. Vortex, the new “kid” on the block comes on board as the official steel tip coin-operated dart machine.

Another very exciting announcement is that Bull’s-Eye News darts magazine will become the official print resource for all ADA news and information beginning in January of 2003. Ever since we discontinued publishing our quarterly newsletter, The American Darter, we have been actively searching for a new print solution. BEN provided the right answer and we’re very excited about introducing this great, new benefit to our members. Watch for more information on this fantastic opportunity in your 2003 membership packets.

As the ADA continues to expand we look forward to bringing our members new goods and services from these sponsors.
