The ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship is the climax to a full year of steel-tip competition hosted by the Professional Darts Corporation. The PDC is a steel-tip dart organization that stages tournaments for professional dart players. To qualify for a shot at the $380,000 in prize money at the year-end finals, 32 of the 48 finalists must have played in three different countries. They will be joined by 8 live playoff winners. In addition, 8 “wild card” slots are now available. One of these “wild card” slots has been awarded to the American Darters Association!
“We are very excited by our new partnership with the PDC,” said Glenn Remick, President of the American Darters Association. “This dramatically broadens the international scope of the ADA. We’ve waited a long time for this partnership, and it’s a great opportunity to send an ADA member to compete in this prestigious, internationally televised event. We look forward to a long and healthy relationship with the PDC!”
