Café 41 is a very special place.
Located in Moberly, a small town in central Missouri, Café 41 is a 38,000 square foot facility two-story smoke free/alcohol free building with dartboards, pool, foosball, table tennis, racquetball, volleyball, basketball, and a boxing ring. It also has a 150-seat concert area, a big screen television, Play Station and 12 Internet stations!
Café 41 started the first Destiny Dart League April 14th hosting 5 three-person teams. So what makes Café 41 so special? This facility is owned and operated by the Family Life Fellowship, a church founded just over 10 years ago by Pastor Vic Comstock.
“ With all of the activities in the Café this is the first league program we’ve ever developed and we are extremely excited about it”, remarks Pastor Vic. “Many of the 400 adults & 450 children in our faith love playing darts and the Café provides an alternative to the bar scene”. The program was developed by Mid Missouri ADA Representatives, Mel & Virginia Vilt.
The Destiny Dart League is a simply a “private label” Express League managed by the ADA. “Pastor Vic has done a fantastic job in developing this facility”, reports ADA President Glenn Remick. “We’re proud to work with him and his staff to manage this program for them. What a great way to introduce darts to hundreds of teens and their parents. This is truly an historic league event for our sport and I believe many more churches will follow suit”.
The minimum age is 13 and at least one teen must be on each team. The ADA has been contracted to manage the league with score sheets faxed to ADA headquarters for processing. Results are then posted to the ADA web site and to the Family Life Fellowship web site located at: WWW.FAMILYLIFEFELLOWSHIP.COM
If you are interested in bringing organized darts to your faith contact Glenn Remick at the ADA.
