Members from “coast to coast” are making their final plans to converge upon Las Vegas to attend the 14th ADA National Championship. Held August 3rd to the 7th at the Riviera Hotel the Championship offers over $75,000 in prize money.
A bonus to this year’s event is the coverage by ESPN’s SportsCenters Across America Tour. This feature started July 17th and for the next 50 days SportsCenter visit’s a different state and will stop in at the Riviera Wednesday, August 3rd during their highlight of Nevada.
A Wednesday afternoon “Warm-up” draw doubles has been added to accommodate SportsCenter’s coverage of the Championship. Glenn Remick, ADA President reports, “ESPN informed me the set is down the strip at Caesar’s Palace so filming of our event will begin sometime after 12 PM. So, if you are attending, this is your opportunity to be on network television! Simply bring your darts to the Championship Room and start warming up!”
The competition brackets for Thursday’s Team and Express events have been randomly drawn and are posted here on our Web site, along with the Top Seeds list. This information and comprehensive event details for this year’s National Championship can be viewed here: 2005 National Championship Main Index
Finally, the ADA encourages Team Captains to “check in” as soon as possible.
The ADA Registration Center is located in the Grand Foyer area of the Riviera Convention Center. It opens at noon on Wednesday for all events. I you are not familiar with the layout of the Riviera, click here to view a Map of the Riviera Convention Center online.
The Championship will take place in the Grand Ballroom at space E through H.
