Attention! About Face! Throw darts!
Military installations worldwide are getting ready to compete in the Military Cup Challenge V. Held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV, August 3rd the “Cup Challenge” is open to all active, reserve/guard & retired military.
Three-person teams compete in both English steel and Electronic soft tip divisions playing 501 singles, cricket doubles and cricket triples in a race to nine points. Two out of the five branches of service have enrolled teams and include the Army (Schofield Barracks, Ft. Sill) and the Air Force (Sheppard AFB, Seymour Johnson AFB, Nellis AFB, Osan AFB and Langley AFB).
Sponsored by Michelob AmberBock and Coca-Cola, the Military Cup Challenge is held in conjunction with the $75,000 14th National Championship. After competing in the Cup all military participants are eligible to compete in this civilian event. Including the draw doubles "warm-up" event covered live on SportsCenter Across America on Wednesday the 3rd.
The best darters in the military? Indisputably the Air Force on both sides!
The Cup on the Steel tip side resides at Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina and the Soft Tip Cup resides at Langley AFB, Virginia.
