Meet August’s ADA Member #1 Influencer…..Samantha Kerby

This month, we proudly highlight Samantha Kerby, a standout competitor, role model, and passionate ambassador within the American Darters Association.

Samantha has been playing darts for over 20 years, with the last six years dedicated to ADA competition. She currently throws in ADA Area 444 under the leadership of Kimberly Hawthorne.

A Career Filled With Accomplishments

Samantha’s dart journey is packed with milestones — from hitting her first 180, to earning a place on the Pro Elite List, to winning her first National Championship Team Trophy, and securing her first MVP Award. This year, she also proudly accepted her ADA Pro Ring, marking yet another major achievement.

Despite all these accolades, Samantha says her greatest accomplishment is inspiring women in darts. She believes that with practice, confidence, and the right mindset, anyone can become an all‑star. She is honored to be someone other players look up to.

Kimberly Hawthorne adds, “Samantha is a gem in her league. She routinely talks up the league and the ADA in general. She is a fantastic spokesperson for the league!” Kimberly is grateful to have Samantha representing Area 444.

Game Preferences & Personality

Although Samantha has earned many achievements in ’01, she jokes that she has a “love‑hate relationship” with the game — she loves to hate it. Cricket, however, is her true passion; she could play it all day long.

Outside of darts, Samantha is a devoted animal lover. She has always dreamed of becoming a zoologist and still hopes to one day own her own petting zoo. Her love for animals is matched only by her dedication to inspiring the next generation of dart players to chase their dreams.

Family, Community & Future Goals

Samantha loves spending time with her fiancé and their children — from football practices to weekend games. She especially enjoys watching her kids grow into their own interests, including darts. Her 15‑year‑old son has already won multiple first‑place ADA events, and she couldn’t be prouder.

She and her fiancé frequently travel to support leagues, benefits, and community events. When they’re not at the dartboard, they’re a zoo, waterpark, and outdoor‑adventure family.
