USA Goes Back to Back in this year’s Match!

ADA vs England Challenge Emblem only

We got whisked away to Delaware last weekend, and the American Darters Association along with our England Counterparts not only gave our thanks to Veteran’s nationwide, but also celebrated another great competition match with the annual Darts Across the Sea Match! The event was born 41 years ago with Northampton, Massachusetts vs Northampton England.

This anniversary team consisted of ADA Members from 4 states: Ohio, Missouri, Pennsylvania and of course our hosting state of Delaware.

The start to determine which team is “Home” and “Away” the team captains selected VIP’s from each side to throw 9 darts to obtain the highest score.  England selected new ADA Team England Captain Jamie Elliott. On our side we selected newest ADA Rep from Harrisburg PA area, Tony Reigle.  We are happy to announce
USA is the Home Team and will start the Odd Numbered games! Thanks Tony (who also kept score as well)!

The scoring between the two countries was on our partner’s DartConnect! We appreciate the DartConnect team and all that they do for us!
The format, a team of 10 vs a team of 10 consisting of Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, Mixed Triples and everyone plays Singles. All matches are best two out of three, best of 18 legs.

England started red hot with a score of 6 – 2 in the first 4 matches.  But then USA went on a 2 win ride in the next 7 matches with England only grabbing 4 wins.  The battle went back and forth here and there from each set format.  For the official game count and scores, click on this link:
